June 6, 2009 - 4th Annual Comanche Cyclone - Comanche, TX - Rides of 10, 22, 28, 42, 55 & 75 miles . All on paved two-lane farm-to-market roads, and country highways with wide shoulders. The routes have some flat runs, long stretches with gradual inclines, and some hills that could be challenging for less experienced or less fit riders. There’ll be iced water, a cold sports drink, and a variety of snacks available to help “recharge your batteries”. Plus the necessary "relief" facility. | June 13, 2009 - Corss Plains VFD Bicycle Tour - Cross Plains, TX - Roputes of 12, 21, 50, 60 and 75 miles - The Cross Plains VFD Bicycle Tour is a leisure ride along a FM Rd. and I-20 Access Rd, It will include small hills, turns, flat stretches, and lots of nice scenery. All of the roads are paved and maintained. There will be rest stops with a Port-A-Can about every ten miles (some a little further apart). We will also have SAG Wagons and signs alone the route so no one sets lost. All routes will be color Coded so you know your route and all major turns will have personnel stations for safety. The June-August "Hotter 'n Hell 100 Prep" will begin at the Cycling Center of Dallas, on June 22nd. You get a choice of one of four classes. Each class is 10 weeks in duration, 2 sessions per week, and will end on August 27th. Sign-up
